Diving & Water Shots

Film Safety offers specialist equipment & advice for all aspects of water work to ensure your production gets the best shots while ensuring the safety of cast, crew & equipment.

The diving element of On-Set work involves everything from organising props, blue-screens and lighting to camera and performers, with and without constant air supply.
Diving and Rigging often work closely together and these are two of our best skills.

Water scenes on Previous Productions:

We have been involved with a lot of Film Crews working in, on and under the water in a variety of shots & situations. This includes building of scaffold towers, adjusting and placing props & special effects, working platforms for actors & actresses, stunts, extras and crew.

Often these scenes are shot with limited experience people that require appropriate training for the shot. We have been fortunate enough to have trained a large number of people including lead characters. Buoyancy is often a problem when you are working with costumes and prosthetics. We can discuss many options to overcome these issues before the shooting period.

Before Shooting

Through appropriate recognition of action and shots at pre-production meetings, we can implement procedures to train performers, stunt people and crew. Pre-production also allows us to understand the requirements of other departments and their expectation of their requirements for the shooting period.

Often there is a lack of understanding when working in and under the water in terms of available time and required time to perform various tasks. Having been involved in a large amount of water work we can help recognise areas of time constraint that may obstruct your shooting period and provide solutions to achieve the shots you require.
